MSC Cruises will restart its sailing operations in Germany on July 3rd.
The line will deploy a Seaside-class ship, MSC Seaview, to operate in the Baltic Sea and will offer a brand-new itinerary for the region.
The vessel will homeport in Kiel until September and offer 7-night voyages – all to include protected shore excursions - to Visby on Sweden’s largest island of Gotland, the port of Nynashamn for Swedish capital city Stockholm, and Estonia’s capital Tallinn, before returning to the northern Germany port.
MSC Seaview will be available for guests of all ages from the Schengen area in Europe, plus residents of Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.

People in the know told TOI the ‘Master’ of each vessel takes a call after evaluating warnings. “The Master, based on weather inputs, may decide that moving ‘X’ nautical miles away from the projected path of a cyclone will be safe. Here saving human lives and not infrastructure takes precedence,” a former ONGC executive said requesting anonymity.

Plans have been unveiled for a new British cruise line, with sales commencing in June and inaugural trips set to depart next year.
Ambassador Cruise Line will offer a “premium-value, authentic cruise experience,” a statement said, sailing for the British market from its home port of London Tilbury.
It will offer no-fly itineraries that are adult-focused and primarily aimed at the 50-plus market.
Ambassador’s first refreshed ship, Ambience, is designed to carry approximately 1,400 guests.
There are 798 cabins, a choice of five restaurants offering a selection of locally inspired dishes, including speciality dining options, as well as two cafes, nine lounges, a swimming pool, spa, day and evening entertainment.

PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – Royal Caribbean on Wednesday became the latest cruise line to get its workers vaccinated at Port Canaveral.
The cruise line is hoping to vaccinate about 1,500 workers.

“This is a great day. You’re going to have many great days over the next few weeks with ships coming in for our crew vaccinations and that’s the first step in getting our business back and running,” Port Canaveral CEO Capt. John Murray said.
